DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING SERVICES
Nathan Wallace is responsible for the Engineering Services (ES) department at Optikos. He began his career at Dimensional Photonics, an optical systems start-up developing structured light scanning technologies. This technology was incorporated into a dental scanner and the start-up was sold to Danaher Corporation; Nathan remained a part of the small team that successfully launched the dental scanner product in 2013.
In 2014, Nathan joined Optikos as part of the Engineering Services team with a focus on opto-mechanical engineering. He contributed to numerous successful engineering projects across a wide field of applications, including aerial imaging lenses, microscopy systems, fluorescence imaging systems, and custom optical metrology instrumentation. Nathan received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 2006 and a Master’s Degree in Optical Sciences in 2021 from the University of Arizona.
