Wakefield, MA – February 13, 2012- In today’s tough economy, many people can agree that the job hunt is not a fun task. Luckily, more and more tradeshows are hosting job fairs right at their show. SPIE recently held one at their Photonics West tradeshow in San Francisco, CA.
At the SPIE’s career center booth, Optikos hosted a game to help promote Optikos’ open positions and the SPIE’s career center. The game attracted many visitors that might not have known otherwise about SPIE’s career center or that Optikos was hiring. Optikos recognized the need to make the job hunt less stressful and more enjoyable. The game consisted of nine famous people in the optical society. Along with pictures and hints, each participant had to guess who the famous person was. Whether they got them all or not, their participation allowed them to enter a drawing for an iPad2. For future tradeshows, Optikos looks forward to working with SPIE on hosting a game challenge at the career center booths.
