Dear Colleagues and Customers:
Earlier today, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker announced that, “effective Tuesday, March 24th at noon, all non-essential businesses shall close their physical workplaces and facilities to all workers, customers, and the public.” This advisory is in effect until Tuesday, April 7th.
This advisory allows—even mandates that—Optikos continue operations; and we are committed to doing so.
The majority of our clients are identified as being part of critical business sectors as identified by the Federal Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency. They include, but aren’t limited to, major defense suppliers, and companies involved in medical device development and manufacturing, medical diagnostics, ophthalmology, disaster recovery, semiconductors, and sustainable food research.
The role that optics (and Optikos) plays as an enabling technology is one that we are proud to be part of. We value the cutting-edge work we are able to do with and for our clients, including one that is at the forefront of antibody screening development for pharmaceuticals, and well-positioned to play a role in Covid-19 research and treatment.
Optikos has been monitoring the developments of this pandemic, and acting assertively to minimize possibilities of exposure among employees, customers, and suppliers. We hope that you, your co-workers and your families are doing well coping and staying healthy as people pull together to do what’s best for communities locally and around the world.
The Optikos® engineering team stands ready to provide engineering services and volume production, IQ Lab™ on-site optical testing, and metrology products to help keep essential businesses thriving.
Please contact sales@optikos.com or your Key Account Manager with any questions you may have about specific orders, deadlines or other issues.
In our 38 years, we have learned to be adaptive and pragmatic in response to challenging economic and social times. We admit that this situation is one of unusual proportions, but we continue to be flexible and responsive to ride it out together.
Thank you for your support.
